The presentation includes two different takes on writing scala applications for the web, including a discussion of what alternatives are available The beginning section will give a brief introduction to scala and show how quickly it is to write a web application using either traditional tomcat or scala Play framework The advanced section will describe two applications in a bit more detail, the first one is a "house chores" application using rich internet technologies on tomcat, the second one is a more traditional looking web application running under Play.
